Black Bituminous Paint Black Bituminous Paint
A Black waterproof paint used to protect metal, brick, and stone. Dries gloss but goes matt in contact in sunlight. It is also suitable for protecting metal that will be in contact with water and collected and used. It is no longer WRC approved for use in potable water tanks. Not to be used in conjunction with tar products. Contains White Spirit.
Mid Green Metal Protective Paint Mid Green Metal Protective Paint
An ideal protective paint for metal, structural steelwork and timber. This includes metal oil tanks, gates, trailers and benches etc. It has a rich high build texture and easy to brush on with a dark green gloss colour. Contains White Spirit/alkyd resins. It is long lasting and is proven to keep a gloss appearance for several years.
Red Oxide Primer Red Oxide Primer
Bird Brand Red Oxide Primer is for use on tanks and structural ironwork against iron oxide (rust). It is a quick drying glossy primer with good anti-corrosive properties as it contains zinc chromate and zinc phosphate corrosion inhibitors. Contains White Spirit.
Red Oxide Gloss Paint Red Oxide Gloss Paint
Bird Brand Red Oxide Paint contains Anti- Corrosive Zinc to inhibit rust. It can also be used in combination with Bird Brand Red Oxide Primer. It is a long lasting anti-corrosive gloss paint with a rich enamel finish. Stir well before use. White Spirit based.
New Formula Black Tar Varnish New Formula Black Tar Varnish
Bird Brand New Formula Black Tar Varnish replaced the petroleum tar based Traditional BLACK TAR VARNISH for retail use. This was because in 2003 any products containing tar were classified as being toxic and only supplied for professional use.
After some development Bird Brand New Formula Black Tar Varnish gives a stable waterproof and protective black finish to timber, stone, brick and metal. It is also improves on the original by being lower odour, quicker drying and compatible with weathered original tar varnish. After prolonged sunlight it will weather from a gloss to a matt finish and the brushes wash out with Bird Brand White Spirit. On timber it has been a good replacement to the Traditional Black Tar Varnish although for marine use we would still recommend the traditional varnish as the original has more anti-fouling properties.
