Premium Barn Paint Premium Barn Paint
Bird Brand Premium Barn Paint is a water based acrylic paint and it can also be applied onto previously painted Bird Brand Black Tar Varnish, Bituminous Paint and Creosoted surfaces. Rather than flake or crack the finish will flex and keep a gloss appearance despite UV exposure and intense weathering.
This product is ideal for decorating residential barns. Including timber boards & cladding, plastic gutters and pipes.

A seperate primer is not required except on mild steel due to avoid the possibility of flash rusting. In this case use Bird Brand Red Oxide Primer. For the White Barn Paint- please note to minimise resin and or yellow discolouration of the coating a blocking primer should be used on timber i.e. Zinsser 1-2-3.
Black Timber Stain Black Timber Stain
It is not always easy to choose a way of getting a traditional black effect on exterior timber. Creosote type products can quickly fade brown, and water based paints can be expensive on large areas. Bird Brand Black Timber Stain has a lower odour than our prevous treatments, it dries quickly and still manages to be very good value. Note: For residential barns we recommend Bird Brand Premium Barn Paint.

For best results our product is suited for car ports, outbuildings, fencing and non residential barns where it can easily soak into the timber without weathering heavily on the surface. The finish can wear quicker with high UV/sunlight exposure and so may require more frequent applications. The finish will turn matt over time. For difficult to reach areas and if in doubt, the Premium Barn Paint is recommended.
