Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept Visa, Mastercard & Paypal. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, by post or over the Internet. Alternatively, we are happy to receive cheques but the goods will not be despatched until the funds have cleared.

When confirmation of the order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

We accept credit card payments. Unfortunately, we are UNABLE to fulfil orders from outside the UK Mainland, Northern Ireland & Ireland. We cannot ship to Mainland Europe, USA/North America or any other countries.

Delivery charges exist for orders below £250 inc. VAT.  The mainland charge is £8 + VAT per order applies for goods that are NOT classified as ADR/HAZardous.   Those that are HAZardous for transport need a special haulier/driver and those are £12.50 + VAT to deliver.  Please note that delivery to the UK Highlands/Island for items that are not ADR/HAZ will attract a higher delivery charge.

In addition to that,  certain products are marked as hazardous on their description meaning that in certain postcode areas, it is non-economical to deliver 1 unit due to the transport regulations/network. A message will be displayed informing you if this occurs, however, it may be possible to get the website to accept an order after this message. In this event, we will contact you and ask if we can refund you or discuss increasing the order quantity to make the order viable.

Shipping and Handling

In most cases orders leave our warehouse within 48 hours but are shipped differently depending on the order weight.  For orders below 100kg we will send your items in boxes using a parcel carrier where a signature is required.  If on the order screen, instructions to leave the goods in a specific location are usually adhered to.

For orders over 100kg, we usually send orders on a mini pallet using an HGV pallet network.

Instructions are best entered at the time of order, such as a booking in request or how to gain site access. With these deliveries a signature must be obtained by the driver.

Certain sizes of chemical products are classed as hazardous for road transport and these are identified as when selected. These products are unable to be ordered/delivered to certain postcode areas in the Scottish Highlands/Islands. This information will be prompted at the time of order/entering delivery post code. Occasionally certain consignments maybe delayed due to the different transport service required.

We still  endeavor to deliver within 4-5 working days.

If a delivery attempt was unsuccessful then for parcels, a card may be left with instructions for calling and arranging a re-delivery or collection from the local depot.  For pallets, the haulier will attempt to call the number provided to fulfill the delivery.  For both types of delivery, after 2 attempts the goods are returned back to our office and whilst refunds can be given the cost of delivery cannot be refunded.

Faulty Goods

Should the goods be claimed to be faulty, the company shall ask for batch numbers for traceability and investigate to establish if the product is not in specification.  In larger, more complicated applications sales and technical staff may arrange to visit, view and collect product to also help establish the problem.  The assistance of the customer will speed up the resolution and in any cases where the goods are agreed faulty, the cost of product and delivery will be reimbursed fully or fresh delivery made at no extra cost.  This is in accordance with the UK Government Online and Distance Selling Regulations.

Non Faulty Returns

The customer is responsible for paying for the return of goods if they are not suitable.  For a full refund they should be in an unused and good condition and returned within 14 days of first delivery.

 Privacy Policy

Bird Brand do not disclose buyers’ information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the ‘Remember Me’ Option. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to ‘Tools | Internet Options | Privacy’ and selecting to block cookies.
