Description
Five of the most fashionable colours of our new OUTDOORS Paint are available in Bird Brand Shed & Fence One Coat Protection!
These ‘feature’ colours include a fashionable Silver Birch, Slate & Anthracite Grey, Willow and Sage Green in a 1 coat protection fence paint.
Providing an ideal and economical solution for sheds and fencing, it also complements the OUTDOORS paint when that is used on summer houses, decking and garden furniture.
The superb Bird Brand Shed & Fence ‘One Coat Protection’ is a great coating for shed, fences and other rough sawn garden timbers. Also this treatment:
- Can be spray, roller or brush applied!
- Safe around pets and plants.
- Water repellent.
- Its oxide pigments mean it can cover previous treatment (the final colour may appear darker and need more than 1 generous coat).
- Won’t crack or peel and can be applied over creosote and other treatments. (May require more than a generous coat).
- One Coat coverage means that one 5 Litre bucket can* treat 7 fence panels of 6’ x 6’ size of grey/weathered timber.
- Please note: Shed & Fence is semi-opaque (so it won’t completely block out a previous contrasting colour in 1-2 coats). Bird Brand OUTDOORS is fully opaque and we recommend that product for a complete transformation in far fewer coats; especially when the previous finish is still in good condition and a completely different colour. We see that 4 coats of Shed & Fence will achieve the same finish as 1-2 coats of OUTDOORS but using less product. So it really is the best use of time and money and removes any chance of it not adhering well in rare cases and then washing off. We think this is mostly due to the porosity of the timber needed for the Shed & Fence and too many coats being applied on smoother timbers.

- In recent trials, see below a short clip of the Shed & Fence after 4 coats applied in 1 day. For this finish in 1-2 coats, OUTDOORS is equally effective.
- *Coverage may vary due to timber type, porosity and weather conditions. It is not a guarantee.
